If an Idaho school is accredited under NWAC they must be aligned with IDPA 08.02.03.160 and maintain up to date discipline procedures, student health plan, violence prevention plan, gun-free schools, substance abuse procedures and plan as well as student harassment plan, drug-free school zones as well as building safety and evacuation drills. Credits provided under NWAC require 60 hours of total instruction per credit or the issuance of credits based on mastery. The class sizes are to be in accordance with the goals stated in IDAPA 08.02.02.110. Schools must also have an up to date gifted and talented plan that is being implemented. Idaho private schools accredited by NWAC must employ administrative and instructional personnel who meet all Idaho Educator Licensing requirements as well as hold the proper license and endorsements for all assignments, grade levels, subject areas and fields. Additionally, NWAC accredited schools must implement an educator evaluation policy.
